Taxi owners will eventually lose their licenses, unless ...

Within the next 50 years, by 2075, taxi owners will lose their licenses as sweeping changes are expected in the chauffeured passenger transport industry unless they act now. The first major change was the transition from the carriage to the automobile, which destroyed many regional occupations (eg farrier) and created others. But the coachmen became drivers (ie adapted) and kept their licenses. With the development of technology we are moving towards the driverless car. Small buses (in the central Greece town of Trikala) have already started appearing, while driverless taxis are being prepared all over the advanced world. The license has the meaning of the job. That is to practice the profession. If you think that in the future you will have a taxi that will work by itself and you will do other things, you are being laughed at and you need to wake up immediately. The only way to keep these taxis is to have collective economic units to operate such taxis, otherwise others will have them. For this reason you need to work out a Taxi Rescue Plan in practice from now on.
